Audit of Federal Surplus Equipment Firefighter Follow-up

The following is the follow up by the Volunteer Firefighters. On July 8th of 2024 at the Monday night fire meeting, Chief Micheal Clack gave a directive to the firefighters. He informed us that there was certain equipment that could not be located and asked the firefighters if they had any knowledge or could locate these things. Captain Jaime Wilson wrote down the list and then took a photo of the list with his phone in order to share with others. All equipment was located. This was done through contact with Lloyd Bluntzer who answered all questions, and knowledge by other firefighters. This was reported back to Stephanie Simmons and Chief Micheal Clack within a 2-week time frame. There were items at Lloyd Bluntzers home stored in his barn as requested by the board when they asked to clean up the main station, and where a lot of equipment was worked on due to logistics and Lloyd Bluntzer having a lift and tools the fire dept did not. When this news story broke, Lloyd Bluntzer was contacted by Captain Jaime Wilson to see if anything had not been picked up in the previous year. He stated that there were two containers that no one came to pick up. Captain Jaime Wilson took his personal truck and trailer to pick them up and bring them to the station. He was reprimanded and scolded in front of the firefighters for doing so.

This is proof that there was no missing equipment and the information was not passed on to the auditor, nor was it conveyed during the KRIS news story.

The NCESD4 Website

The official NCESD4 website that is maintained by the current Chief is located at the .ORG domain. The current .org website is where the complete library of public records can be found to meet the requirements set forth by the State of Texas. The volunteer firefighters have been paying for the domain .COM, .NET and .INFO for over a decade. These domains were turned over to the current administration upon request in March of 2024. They did not pay the bill and in order to not default on a 20-year business relationship outside of the VFD the bills were paid by a volunteer. There was a redirect to .org put in place, but when they failed to pay the bill, it reset the forwarder and could not be reinstated without the current administration’s acceptance of the redirect. Therefore, this domain is owned and operated by the Volunteer Firefighter.
